The
professional taking of representative samples is our business – and this process
is rounded off with nothing but conclusive analyses. Mineral oil analysis is a very
specific segment in the analysis market – only a few companies have the capability
to test petrochemical products according to different international standards and
have the observation of the test standards successfully monitored by independent
accreditation bodies.
Our cooperation laboratories fulfil these requirements, irrespective of whether
physical, chemical, mechanical or microbiological investigations have to be carried
out.
Analyses in the mineral oil field are therefore carried out by
PETROLAB GmbH in Speyer, with branches in Düsseldorf, Hamburg,
Munich, Riesa/Elbe.
The equipment of the laboratories includes all the apparatus required for the performance
of modern petrochemical and mineral oil analysis, such as automatic devices for
determining distillation, flashpoint, cloud point, filterability and density, X-ray
fluorescence spectrometers, infrared equipment, complete JET A1 analysis equipment,
gas chromatographs with all current detectors for the analysis of liquid gas, gasoline,
CHC, PCB and complete petrochemical and organic raw materials, including our own
test stands with CFR, BASF and MWM-BASF motors for octane and cetane number determination.
